Switching from another host?
Bring your server with you.
Your world, saves, configs and mods are just files. Download them from your old host, upload them to Monolith, and test everything on a free 24-hour trial before you cancel anything.
Six steps to move a server.
Start a free trial.
Pick the same game on Monolith and start a 24-hour trial with code TRYMONOLITH. Card required, £0 today, one trial per verified card. Cancel during the trial to avoid paid billing.
Back up from your old host.
Stop the server cleanly, then download world or save folders, configs, plugins or mods, and any MySQL dumps over SFTP or with your old panel’s backup tool. Keep that archive until the move is finished.
Match versions.
Run the same game version, server software and mod or plugin framework as before: Paper, Forge, Fabric, RocketMod, OpenMod, Oxide, Carbon and so on.
Upload to Monolith.
Upload over SFTP or the panel’s file manager. SFTP is easier for large worlds. Every plan includes database slots, so you can create a database in the panel and import your SQL dump.
Test privately, then switch.
Join from outside your own network, check inventories, permissions and mods, and restart once. Then update your server list entry, Discord and any DNS records. Keep the old server stopped but recoverable for a few days.
